Your Workplace

Office services is the central janitorial function of the municipal buildings. The three individuals in the unit work closely together to provide services to the municipal employees in the form of mail handling, copying, furniture moving, and similar tasks.

Your Assignment

As a janitor with us, you will have a varied workday with many different practical tasks. However, during the first 6–10 months, a large part of your working hours will be related to the implementation of the municipality's own issuance of SITHS cards.

In this phase, you will play a central role in establishing the processes, routines, and infrastructure required for Härryda municipality to issue SITHS cards independently. You will be responsible for developing a project plan, as well as routines and frameworks that ensure the right people are assigned SITHS cards, mapping equipment needs, and ensuring necessary purchases are made. You will collaborate with relevant departments regarding the project's various components and distribution of responsibilities, act as the responsible issuer of SITHS cards, and report continuously to the steering group.

Once the project is completed, the role will gradually transition to more conventional janitorial tasks. The work with SITHS cards will then become an ongoing task shared within the workgroup, while you will continue to hold the role of responsible issuer.

Examples of common janitorial tasks include:

• Setting up White Boards
• Handling access tag & key orders
• Changing lock cylinders
• Furnishing conference rooms
• Planning and executing furniture moves
• Changing light bulbs and tubes
• Printing posters, flyers, brochures, etc.
• Systematic fire safety work
• Mail handling (including driving to various departments within the municipality)
• Minor repairs and assembly
• Purchasing materials

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone who has:

• a high school education or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• at least 2 years of work experience deemed relevant for the position by the employer
• good computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
• good knowledge of Swedish, and expresses themselves well in both speech and writing
• a valid driver's license (B)

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience working with SITHS cards
• experience from the public sector/municipality
• experience working in digital operational systems and a good ability to learn new IT tools

To obtain employment, a criminal record extract from the police must be presented.
